More-
Gone to Earth is a minor Powell & Pressburger production which is more difficult to find for any reasonable price than is most of their work. (I ended up with a cheap Korean import DVD which has indifferent picture quality.) The film had been on my Amazon wishlist since 2006; having seen I Know Where I'm Going! on TV and liked it, and knowing next to nothing about the directors, I read some plot synopses and concluded that this and A Canterbury Tale were the films I most wanted to see. Fast forward to 2012-13 when I actually got round to watching more P&P and I found that several other of their films are better, indeed, magnificent.
