Five men in bubble economy japan, all struck down, tries to do a hiest to save themselves. Wonderfully depressing.

A strangely disjointed yakuza heist revenge thriller. Maybe it's just the minimal subtitles in the version I saw but I found it hard to work out what was happening and why at times. It has its moments though - Jimmy's interrogation in the parking garage is beautifully played, and Ogiwara's homecoming is remarkably subtle and sensitive given the over-the-top violence of the rest of the film.
And obviously Takeshi Kitano completely steals the show once he turns up.
