Ingrid Bergman and Anthony Perkins made this film into a classic, not to mention Yves Montand... such a superb cast. The storyline is pretty amazing too; I can imagine it being controversial for its time due to an older woman being with a much younger man.

As I've been trying to focus on love stories in this month, I decided to check out this movie which has been sitting in my Netflix queue for a while. Starring two remarkable members of the Hitchcock repertoire, Ingrid Bergman and Anthony Perkins, Goodbye Again is a somber but charming romance about a woman choosing between her philandering lover and a younger man smitten by her. It plays out quite realistically and authentically with an ending that is almost poetically ironic. Ingrid Bergman is wonderful, conflicted and hopeful. She always looks extremely glamorous. So this was actually the first movie I saw with Tony Perkins that isn't Psycho so it was nice to see him play out his boyish charms…
