Complicated origin story doesn't help this DC comic hero film flow smoothly. Also Ryan Reynolds just isn't up to the job of lead - his smell the fart acting ranges from clenching his jaw to do the hero bit and goofy smile for everything else. Could have been so much better with a different actor in the role. Good SFx but that's about all

Waren einige kleine nette Geschichten. Aber hatte nichts mit "Green Lantern: First Fight" zu tun, außer halt das die gleichen Charaktere dabei waren. Story war ne ganz andere statt einer Fortsetzung. Die Story konnte also einen etwas Verwirren.

Its anthological structure fails to build up the main plot and characters enough to make you care about them.
Has decent voice acting and animation, but only fans of the comic books will be able to get over the thin characterization, although it might also work as a brief introduction to various storylines."I'll tell you about the time I took on an army of Manhunters and my only backup was this squirrel."

Pretty much what the live action movie should have been. Lots of fun fights, neat characters and good animation.
Definitely give it a shot.

Not DC animation's best work. Are any of the anthology type animated movies any good?

I watched Green Lantern: Emerald Knights yesterday and frankly I didn't think much of it, I wouldn't say it was aweful but it's certainly one of the lesser DC animated features.

Yeah, not bad as far as Superhero flicks go. But Green Lantern was one of my favorite super heros.

Some of the stories are actually pretty great, but others are also quite monotonous (as is usually the case with things like this) and all in all it is an average affair with some entertaining bits (but only relative to the rest). For Green Lantern fans only.

A quick, fun exploration of the Green Lantern mythos, I'm not huge on the anthology approach since it makes investing in the wrap-around story a bit difficult. Still, this and FIRST FLIGHT are good Green Lantern products, I hope DC does more animated adventures for these characters.
