That's right, I've watched the best-selling film series of all time. Shucks, I even enjoy some of it. Let me explain.
I'm not about to give a story overview, I mean, it took Rowling 7 books (≈ 4100 pages, depending on the publisher) and 8 films just to get the story told. It's the story of Harry Potter. Does that satisfy you?
I must say that I have not read the books, and really have no plans to, so I'm simply taking the films as they are. If you really need to know the story, it's about a bad guy who tried to kill a child and couldn't. Harry Potter grows up, finds himself with magical powers, and goes to…

THE BEST F***ING CHILDHOOD!

I can't get enough of Harry Potter. They did a pretty good job with sticking to the story line of the books.

such a great collection of films. a great way to get lost from the real world into a world of spells, witchcraft and wizardry.

I loved the whole collection! I thought that they where all amazing and captured that magic that Rowling had wrote. The first two were a bit to 'kiddy', however they still where just as good as the rest. My favourite characters have got to be Serious Black, Bellatrix Lestrange and Remus Lupin.

Philosopher's Stone - 3 stars, Chamber of Secrets - 2 stars, Prisoner of Azkaban - 5 stars, Goblet of Fire - 4 stars, Order of the Phoenix - 4 stars, Half-Blood Prince - 4 stars, Deathly Hallows 1 - 2 stars, Deathly Hallows 2 - 5 stars
In short, Chris Columbus is an asshat, Alfonso Cuaron is a genius, the two-part Deathly Hallows was purely for profit and didn't benefit the series at all, and none of these will ever live up to their sources. That being said, they really were an honourable atempt at adapting the books.

Easier to rate 8 movies this way, especially when they blend together a lot.
Sorcerer's Stone **** - This along wit chamber of secrets were back when they were genuinely kids movies. We could talk about what could have been if Gilliam gained the rights, but this movie is cinema magic.
Chamber of Secrets ****- Even better the second time around, I found chamber to be one of the most memorable adventures in the series.
Prisoner of Azkaban **** - Strangest film in this series, the story begins to mature here as the cast grows. The story gets more involved. What little did I know at the time.
Goblet of Fire - ****1/2 -one of the pinnacle fantasy movies, the…
