Hooterlicious sequel to Heavy Metal. Well, I say sequel, but its merely in name. The plot has very little to do with what happened in the cult classic Heavy Metal. The only things the two movies have in common are big breasts and evil that needs vanquishing. It doesn't even have the compilation structure of the original. If you get bored with this story...there's nothing new coming along in 15 minutes. I watched it in twenty minute chunks before work every morning this week and it felt pretty watchable in bits. The word "gratuitous" has never been more appropriate for the content though. Every scene a mess of blood, guts, innards and boobies. Not that…

I will give this film one thing, unlike the first film this one actually had a single flowing story instead of multiple stories that went nowhere. The animation was a bit better and some decent action scenes, but that's about it. To much of this film seems either generic or bland. Though they make it a lot less sexist than the first one (well maybe a bit less) and it does boast a good soundtrack. In a word, this film was alright, but nothing special.

I haven't gotten around to reading the Eastman/Bisley comic series yet, but this adaptation is dreadful. Despite the gorgeous source material, the animation looks terrible. If not for the tacky CGI, I would swear Ralph Bakshi made this in 1982.

Extremely sad follow up to the classic. This was apparently some sort of Strain vanity piece which I don’t get because she is not that special. I bought this, previously unseen, because it was sold with original – big mistake. This is a terrible movie.

Decent animation but lacks the humor and soul of the original. Good soundtrack.
