High School
2010 Directed by John Stalberg
Synopsis
Random drug tests? You just can't study for them.
A high school valedictorian who gets baked with the local stoner finds himself the subject of a drug test. The situation causes him to concoct an ambitious plan to get his entire graduating class to face the same fate, and fail.

As a non-stoner who usually doesn't get into a lot of stoner flicks, this is actually pretty damn good. I'll admit I saw it purely for Adrien Brody as Psycho Ed, but the whole movie was pretty damn charming and had a fine cast including Colin Hanks (who keeps morphing into his dad) and a near-unrecognizable Michael Chiklis.
Basically it's a well-made "stoner" comedy where the joke isn't that people are high. I encourage more of this.

If this had been something I could have seen 10 years ago, I may have loved it. But in my present, it's just about amusing enough.

a disturbing trend for "stoner comedies" is for a joke's punchline to be "..and then they got stoned" which isn't actually very funny or engaging to watch (cf Harold & Kumar Christmas). At least Cheech & Chong recognised that getting stoned was a catalyst for the next misadventure or comedic vignette.
i lasted about half way through before giving up.
ah yea, quite the cast of "big name talent" . . all the more baffling considering how rote the whole endeavour is.

One of the funniest high school movies I've seen in the last 10 years. Adrien Brody could be at his best for me in this, and Michael Chiklis is John Vernon-level good as the Dean Wormer-style villain.

Ridiculous!
But: I like Brody. -
Drogas, chistes fáciles, instituto americano y un Adrien Brody en plan estelar terminando de levantar la función

''What?...What?''
Wow, I will never see Adrien Brody and Michael Chiklis in the same way again. This was absolutely fantastic, such a genuine suprise.
The high school valedictorian winds up getting high with the school stoner, and in fear of the mandatory drug test, they concoct a plan to get the entire school high. They can't expell everybody, right? This is so funny and the characters all feel really strong and thought out. This might actually be my new favourite weed based film, taking the place of 'How High'.

I don't do drugs, but I did end up enjoying this teen comedy, which I personally thought was really funny and featured some very fun and entertaining performances, particularly from Adrien Brody.

Movie sort of falls into chaos by the end, but that might actually be the point. Kind of enjoyed it. Michael Chiklis STEALS EVERY SCENE. Give him more comedic roles, please.

This movie is ridiculous. Best part was Adrien Brody and Colin Hanks with the cheezits.

Mostly just made me want brownies. Adrien Brody as a drug dealer with a screw loose was worth the watch.

This wasn't any normal stoner film. It had an extremely indie feel to it. Which made it very enjoyable. The two main characters were extremely likable and Colin Hanks was hilarious. The plot wasn't anything too predictable either, which made it a pleasure to watch.
