Rounded up from 2.5 stars simply because, for my money, Song Kang-ho is one of the world's great stars and carries several scenes here just by waiting a beat and then smiling... and, um, because I'm irrationally biased in favor of Korean cinema. To a certain degree one can overlook the empty glossiness of production and equally shallow sentimentalism--those often come with the territory if one is expecting a multi-genre, popcorn-fueled blockbuster. In other words, I would have been very happy with another "Secret Reunion" (2010). Of course it's fine that here we have a romantic subtext instead of bromantic one, but what's not fine is how undercooked it is and how anemic the action scenes are on top of…

Looks great, but it's a mess. Song Kang-ho is the only thing this has going for it. The soundtrack alone will make you want to cut your ears off. The cheesy romantic music is so ridiculous it's beyond a joke. Perhaps this was never meant for audiences outside of Korea.

Sleek and stylish but to a point where at times i thought i was just watching a commercial. Cool locations and shot well but again seems like anyone could have shot this. (the blue and yellow lighting scheme is getting a bit overplayed) The action scenes are sloppy and use the quick/close-up/hand held technique.
The plot is a mish-mash of everything you'd expect from a movie like this. Gets very muddled in the middle, too many subplots, characters and rushes over some things which is surprising because the movie is two hours and had plenty of time to pace all this stuff properly.
No one is really fleshed out. Kang-ho Song is charming and goofy as usual and i could…

Gorgeously photographed but ultimately disappointing. "Hindsight" suffers from a lack of a consistant tone. Comedy, action, romance -the filmmakers reach for all three but succeed at none. Was this a gender-flipped "Bourne Identity" or a Korean take on "Mr. and Mrs. Smith"? I'm not sure what they were going for.
Nearly every shot in the movie looks great but the screenplay doesn't give us a reason to care. Song Kang-ho's considerable talents seemed wasted, as he only helps to make the movie barely watchable.

Confusing direction/writing on some parts. Raises expectations/deals out information, but plain ignores the fact, that it just did. Was also unnecessarily laden with different story/character arcs. Needed some general "How-do-I-narrate-a-movie"-overlooking, but also had some cool shit in it. And the action direction was awesome. Very cool casting/acting as well.

Doo-heon is a former gangster who wants a quiet retirement running his own restuarant. He meets pretty young Se-bin on a cooking course, and the two become friends, unaware that she is a former sniper champ who has been tasked with the job of watching him by a rival gang. When Doo-heon’s boss dies and Se-bin is asked to take him out, loyalties are questioned. This Korean thriller boasts the excellent Song Kang-ho (The Host) in the lead, but lacks enough thrills to satisfy. The relationship between the couple takes centre stage but is too drawn out to really engage.

I really enjoyed this film good acting and really good story line.
