Hulk vs. Thor
2009 Directed by Frank Paur
Synopsis
For ages, Odin has protected his kingdom of Asgard. But every winter, the All-Father must rest and regain his strength for one week. During this time, all of Asgard's foes (including trolls, giants, dark elves, and demons) try to claim the realm for their own, but they are always stopped by Odin's son, the mighty Thor, albeit with the loss of many brave Asgardian warriors. Loki, god of mischief, has kidnapped Dr. Bruce Banner and brought him to Asgard with the help of Amora, once Thor's lover, now the supervillain known as the Enchantress. Loki makes Banner angry and he changes into the Hulk. The Enchantress then casts a spell over the Hulk which separates Banner from his monstrous alter-ego and grants Loki control over the Hulk's body.

I guess it was OK but this should have been pretty epic. It just didn't seem to get started.
The Hulk's hair was too floppy for me. -
Hulk smasht Götter in Asgard. Awesome.

The final film in the Marvel Animation Extravaganza
Technically Hulk Vs is two movies but I'd already seen Hulk Vs. Wolverine. Hulk Vs. Thor isn't as much fun as that film and indeed is one of the weaker of the Marvel animated films. It would be a damp squib to go out on but I saved the re-watch on Vs. Wolverine for last...

I've never been a big fan of Thor, or the Hulk for that matter. So a face off between the two isn't something I was desperate to watch. I decided to give it a chance anyway.
The film never really gets going, whilst I appreciate its a short movie the extreme lack of plot is still unforgivable. You also need to be fairly well versed in the Marvel universe for the characters to have any impact on you.
I recommend only for the biggest Thor fans.

I feel as though this could have been seriously awesome, but it just didn't seem to ever live up to it's full potential. It was entertaining sure, but it was just lacking.

Was a fun watch just way to short.

Nice animation and decent voice work, but nothing special. The story is pretty flawed. Characters lack real motivation and end up doing things for no reason. Story and the action in itself is both forgettable and mediocre. Poorly done, cheesy and predictable.

The basic premise is Loki brings Hulk to Asgard to beat up Thor during Odin's nap time. Needless to say, things go a bit wrong.
I thought the animation was fairly nice, but the film itself is just like that Fast Show sketch, with Simon Day and Paul Whitehouse (I think) and the "big, long fight". When they're not punching each other, then Hulk is punching someone else. The voice acting was a bit dodgy too and the plot was very, very basic. Characters just change their ideals for no identifiable reason. Yost is usually better at the plots in these animated films than this film suggests. Not one of my favourite Marvel animations, I have to admit.
