Ol Parker's directional feature debut is about to be followed up with his 2012-movie starring Dakota Fanning, Now is Good. While he's been busy writing once in a while, he's still probably most famed for being the husband of Thandie Newton. I do think he got a lot right here in his writer-director piece, but there's also a few too many cliches he stumbles over.

Funny and extremely rewatchable, Imagine Me and You puts it's own spin on classic British romantic comedies. You'll have a smile on your face and laughed a lot by the end.

It's a sweet, feel-good movie centering around a beautiful relationship and although it goes through the tropes of a romance film quite predictably, IM&Y made me smile wide and I don't think I expected it to do more than that.

Bin ich ja normalerweise nicht der Freund von romantischen Komödien, schaffte es “Eine Hochzeit zu dritt” mich zu überzeugen. Ein Grund hierfür ist mit Sicherheit der Umstand, dass bei dem Film Engländer Ihre Finger mit im Spiel hatte und so eine gehörige Prise britischer Humor in den Film mit einfließt. So gibt es zum Beispiel eine Szene im Film in der Rachel und Heck ihr Sexleben aufbessern wollen und dafür mitten im Wald eine Nummer schieben wollen. Dabei hören sich eigenartige Geräusche hinter einem Baum und es stellt sich heraus, dass es sich dabei um ein schwules Pärchen handelt. Die daraus resultierende Situation ist einfach köstlich.

reminds me of teen romance and has some memorable quotes (and a nice soundtrack), but that's it.

Simply put, this film was adorable! It examines the story of two women, a florist and a newlywed, who get romantically involved. Obviously, this causes a great deal of problems with the newlyweds. It's a believable depiction with great acting and a great message.
Also, I got some great one-liners! I love when movies give me great one-liners!
