One of those films that prove that even in such a fantastic year for film as 1994, you can still find at least one dud. This just might be that dud.
-
The story is unfocused and the tone is all over the place. It seems to want to be a romantic dramedy like Sleepless in Seattle yet they bleed all the charm out of the movie in the second act.
Bravo to Rosie Perez for making her character that unlikable. I think the filmmakers saw how good her performance was and put more of her in the movie, yet the story shouldn't be about her.
I like the premise, and I like that the two leads don't fundamentally change who they are when they get the money and how those around them do. But bad story choices to make them become such victims and to have both trapped in bad marriages.…

A light-hearted yet enjoyable film about a cop who promises a waitress to split his lottery winnings to make up for not giving her a tip only for the couple to split $4 million much to the dismay of the cop's greedy wife.

Saw this in Las Vegas while on vacation with my family when it first played theaters. For the life of me, I can't remember why I wanted to see it so bad. Still, it's pretty good until it gets grotesque and sad near the end.

Saccharine soaked lotto romance that manages to be cute and kinda fun all at once.

Awe, I love this movie. Completely charming and sincere. Cage and Fonda are so winning and Perez easily steals scenes. Puts a smile on your face and keeps it there.

I will say right here in now, this is not because of my wife, I do like certain romcom from time to time This is one of them. Overall nothing amazing in this movie, acting is ordinary, plot line as simple as a bus ticket and characters so one dimensional when they turn side ways you might lose of them Still the story is fun and you feel a little better after seeing it. I would not watch it all the time but once in a while it does make me feel good.
