It is marginally good! It has good moments and bad ones too! The ending is cool! I’d love to have a pair of glasses with all the interphases. Though some of the found footage is very annoying! Not for everybody!
Entertaining watch with some original twists. Jerusalem itself is a beautiful setting, it fits to create a pleasant atmosphere and its a cool horror location. The hi-tech glasses through which we see all the events, complete with route planner and Facebook face recognition, is quite nicely done. Some CGI is at times questionable, but at least the designs look cool. Overall a fun little movie, but nowhere really gets spectaculair.
if i ever have to hear this woman say "wait for me" again, i will lose my mind. just walk faster!
"there are three gates to hell. One in the desert, one in the ocean and one in Jerusalem......"
And so begins our newest found footage, first person horror movie. Set in The Holy City, "a city full of of so much hatred that it run's deep into the ground and the city where all hell is about to break loose. Our story follows Sarah (Danielle Jadelyn) and Rachel (Yael Grobglas), two American tourist's who are heading to Tel Aviv until they meet seasoned traveller Kevin (Yon Tumarkin), who takes a shine to them and invites them to join him in Jerusalem. This turns out to be a terrible decision as the gates of hell are about to open unleashing blood…
When in Jerusalem, watch Jeruzalem. Been here a few days and fortunately have yet to encounter any winged demons, mighty giants, or obnoxious tourists wearing smart glasses. I did, however, have some scary delicious knafeh at Mahane Yehuda, and for all I know that could be one of harbingers of some kind of apocalypse. So if flying monsters and towering behemoths come spilling forth from the Old City in the next few days, I accept responsibility and sincerely apologize. But you just cannot understand how good that knafeh was.
A perfectly serviceable Israeli found footage/supernatural horror with some effective scares. Although given the concept, I expected to like this more. Using the demons unleashed in Jerusalem is an interesting approach and the gimmick of the whole thing being filmed POV through smart glasses is pretty cool. However, it falls in the same traps as most found footage films, too much goofing around, unlikeable characters keep making horrible decisions, people screaming at each other, too much shaky and glitchy effects. All that aside, there are some great uses of comedy throughout and the filming locations definitely help a lot. The flying demons look pretty cool as well. Even though the film is flawed, it's competently put together and enjoyable enough.
if you're going to make a theological horror movie at least have it make sense in any of the three religions you're constantly referencing
Alright boys and girls, I fucking love found footage movies. It’s not a guilty pleasure or something silly like that, it’s a true passion. I seriously dig this genre, and I love how it makes old worn-out stories work again, just because it’s shot from someone's point of view. The strenght of found footage, something many forget, is what my buddies Jason and Jocke pointed out: it gives the illusion that something really cool could be a true, a big “if”... and that’s the key to imagination. So I never really cared for the boring found footage haters, they can’t just see beyond their own narrow wannabe-imagination.
This genre often becomes even better when it leaves the safe environments of…
Terceira vez que assisto JeruZalem (mais que vi Poderoso Chefão Parte 2)
Eu nunca NÃO me diverti assistindo JeruZalem
Filmaço
Okay, the effects are sorta cheesy, but it doesn't really matter. When it comes to POV, this flick reigns supreme: Less b/c of its fake GoPro-glasses or adrenaline-driven ride, but b/c it subtly absorbs the infectious unrest that has haunted Jeruzalem IRL for eons. Imfo, this is way more sinister than anything CGI could put on screen.
One of the greatest of its kind — this is how FF was always supposed to be!
