The thing I liked about this film is its honesty. Right from the beginning it held its hands up and said:
"Look, I know I won't be as good as the first one, and I won't pretend to be. I know I don't have a great plot, but what I DO have to offer is Rowan Atkinson, and some other skilled cast members. I DO have cinematographers who know what they're doing, and I CAN entertain you. So stick with me okay?"
It remembered that its fans have moved on, so it moved the characters on too. And because of that, it DID entertain me.

OK, so it's not great.
But it's still funny enough in places, and Atkinson has plenty of chances to pull funny faces.
It's better than Mr fucking Bean anyway.
-
Typical Bean slapstick and misunderstanding mixed with a bit of James Bond charm and spy-manship.
This film, whilst not the funniest, is worth a watch if you like Mr Bean, the previous Johnny English film or just the old Barclaycard adverts.
Lets kick some bottom.

Stupid, silly, even idiotic, but importantly, always playful.
This is a film which families can enjoy. From 8 year olds to 80 year olds, this is a comedy which has its heart in the right place and is all the more successful for it.
Atkinson delivers plenty of genuinely laugh out loud moments, riffing on Casino Royale's freerunning sequence quite brilliantly amongst plenty of satisfying sight gags.
It's not sophisticated but it is enjoyable.
Recommended?: when a film like Cloud Atlas just won't do to entertain the entire family...

Few characters that originated in a television commercial get their own film, even fewer manage to get a sequel. So what makes Johnny English so special? Well...um...hang on I’ll think of something soon. Much like the first film this is yet another subpar Naked Gun spoof movie that will only really appeal to a young audience unfamiliar with Clouseau and Drebin.
Slapstick films of this kind rely on a rapid stream of gags and pratfalls to keep the momentum going. Not every joke will hit the spot but throw enough gags at the screen and eventually enough should stick. With Johnny English Reborn the pacing is too laboured, jokes are dragged out and stop being amusing very quickly, if funny…

Not nearly as good as the first. A few funny scenes but it was mostly a little disappointing. Seemed more like a James Bond spoof than a parody.

Mostly terrible. The humour doesn't quite hit home although there are a few good laughs.

I will watch ANYTHING with Rosamund Pike.

I watched the deleted scenes for this and in doing so found out where all the jokes went. Sadly it was edited as a spy thriller rather than as a comedy. You might ask what I expect from a sequel to a spin of to a Barclay's commercial, but given that Rowan Atkinson is an immensely talented comedy actor with fantastic comic timing I think it's fair to expect more. The best scene of the whole film was cut, but the mistake was obviously realised as it was included over the end credits.
Could have been a great comedy, ended up being a below average spy movie. -

Kieli poskella väännettyä vakoojakomediaa James Bond -hengessä. Kertakäyttötavaraksi yllättävän laadukasta settiä.

Johnny English Reborn is occasionally brilliant, but often stupid in unfunny ways. I wasn't bored, I laughed, and I cringed a few times.

Muito engraçado, Rowan Atkinson realmente awesome. Só não dou mais do que 3,5 porque não é meu estilo preferido de comédia.
