Not as bad as most people say but still not great.
Josh Brolin is convincingly bitter and deadly as Jonah Hex, Michael Fassbender is in full on scenery chomping 'Oirish' mode and Megan Fox is perfectly symmetrical as usual. It looked nice too with some good effects on the corpse re-animations
Over use of the same flashback and a massive damp squib of an ending combine to help make this a short and mostly forgettable experience though.

A terrible film that I happen to like a lot. After a rewatch I still have no idea why I like it.
-
To clarify: this film has no redeeming value. That's half a star each for Megan Fox's rack.

Finally got around to watching this and honestly.......it's not THAT bad.
Sure, the script is a total mess, Malkovich looks totally bored all the way through and the make up on Brolins face stops him really making the character come to life.
But, Fassbender is having a blast with his small role, the effects look good and in general the whole film looked good, especially Meg Fox. I don't get the hate for Meg Fox, sure she wasn't good but at the same time she wasn't particularly bad, just ok.
At a running time of 82 minutes I get the feeling this has been hacked to pieces, and it does show, which is a shame because it did try something, it failed but at least it tried. -
If you like:
- Growling
-Very basic plot.
-The movie 'Wild Wild West'
-Michael Fassbender having tremendous amounts of fun
-Megan Fox with an american accent. Then you'll think Jonah Hex is the next Godfather.
The movie's short, poorly made and embarrassing to watch. The only redeeming aspect of the damn thing is Michael Fassbender, who giggles and takes such joy in being evil in every scene he's in.

This is about as bad as a movie could possibly be.

Better than I expected.
Michael Shannon is in it.

Yeah, edited to a threadbare succession of explosions. Still 80 minutes too long...

DC's antihero, Civil War era cowboy in good relations with the dead -- huge potential wasted in the bad script and laughable plots and enemies, not to mention way too beautiful and (appropriately?) scantily clad woman for sale, that even might have been interesting character if only her role in the film wasn't so out of place and her acting so bad.

First time viewing on Blu Ray. No ratings yet

Jonah Hex makes Wild wild west look like Unforgiven.
It gets one star because the horse comes with Machine guns.
John Malkovich plays 19th century Cyrus The Virus trying to blow up capitol hill by shooting Goku's Dragon Balls at it from a floating Death Star.
The only self aware person in this film is Michael Fassbender, whom being irish himself makes an accent that is what americans think irish people sounds like.
And Lance Reddick from The Wire sells crossbow pistols that shoot dynamite...
A must see

Watching this movie had been a long time coming for me and quite Frankly I'm kinda shocked that it has taken me this long to finally get around to it. Sure this movie had dismal reviews all over the place but that is usually not enough to stop me from watching a movie based on a comic book character that I really love.
With every comic book movie I try my best to separate my love of the character from the book and what I will see in the movie because I know that there will be changes no matter what and just to get it out of the way real quick I really hate the fact that Hex has…

An hour and 13 minutes of hot shit.

The old west part of this made me think of ghost rider, and watching this I wished I was watching Ghost Rider instead (it's a guilty pleasure). This movie is so unfocused. Megan Fox is hot, that's all I can say good about it. This movie is miserably bad. The script is beyond poor. Nothing makes sense. The over the top action parts should have been enjoyable but event that was bad. I didn't give a shit about these characters. This was terrible. Stay away. Absolutely not worth a watch.
