The first half or so of this is pretty much just schlock, and not the good kind. But I ended up being pleasantly surprised by how exciting and scary it becomes once the spiders really start digging into their human prey, thanks to stuntman-turned-director Bud Cardos' muscular approach to the scenes of mayhem and disaster. I also liked the way that all of the characters in the movie react to the spiders as real people do when they encounter giant bugs: Like big scared babies. Even William Shatner is not above this.

Stupidly fun creature feature has William Shatner and drive-in starlet Tiffany Bolling fighting off a ridiculous spider invasion that is never explained or resolved. Taking a few cues from Night of the Living Dead, the film has the heroes hole up in a cabin to avoid the creepy crawlies which appear everywhere like magic.

Many Spiders were killed making this movie, unfortunatly thats a fact in the making of this film, and you can see. aside from that terrible fact, a decent horror from the 70s and william Shatner heading up the cast.

A living, crawling hell on Earth! from the 70's
Oh, well... I hate spiders!
I wish someday William Shatner makes William Shatner: The Revenge of The Kingdom of the Spiders and kill 'em all.
:c
But it's a cool movie.
I like those old movies from past decades, soundtracks, sfx and stories. -
Awesome midnight movie. William Shatner tries to keep a small from literally being overrun by giant killer spiders. It's even more awesome than it sounds.

I’m going to fill you in on a little known fact about myself: spiders give me the friggin’ creeps. While there are a number of other things that I’m not a big fan of (birds being one of them), none of them get to me like spiders do. Just a picture of a spider makes my hair stand up and gets me itching as if a phantom spider is crawling on me somewhere. So Kingdom of the Spiders was a daunting task the first time I saw it, and it still was this go around. Yet it must say something about the quality of the film that even knowing it’s going to make me uncomfortable, I’m still willing to re-watch…
