Kingpin gets given a bit of a harsh deal by many.
It is much more than just a film full of bodily fluid jokes, silly haircut gags and best uses for Harrelson's rubber hand.
It is funny. It contains at least 25 proper laugh out moments, and countless intelligent sight gags.
Randy Quaid, Harrelson and Murray are responsible for creating three of the great comedy characters.

One of the funniest films I have ever seen. I don't understand why more people don't acknowledge it.

Two Demigods blessed both with impeccable hair and equally intense skills fighting the battle of their lives on the Brunswick Bowling battlefield in what some consider a sport.
This film is off the hook.

Remember when The Farrelly Brothers made good movies? You know the stuff they did in the 1990's? Yeah those were good times and out of that time period they gave us Kingpin, the quintessential bowling movie for all times.
Kingpin tells the story of Roy Munson a up and coming bowling superstar who's career came to an abrupt end after losing his hand. Now several years later he discovers Ismael a gifted bowler who just so happens to be Amish. Roy convinces him to Ishmael to let him be his trainer and helps him to become a great bowler who goes up against the dastardly flamboyant cover boy of the bowling world Ernie McCracken.

Really solid comedy with a couple great performances. Randy Quaid is the standout of the show pulling off some great facial acting, and Woody Harrelson is very funny and likable. Bill Murray steals every scene he's in and is one of my favorite comedic villains. The "shoeing the horse" joke is the best.

Just one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.
Bill Murray should have won an Oscar for his performance in this film.

One of my favorite comedies.

Funny film with a great cast. The Farrelly brothers at their best (along with Dumb And Dumber, circa mid 90's).

Not as funny as I remember but that being said it's a solid watch and raised a good few laugh out loud moments. Vanessa Angel is pretty bad in this and the soundtrack is very 90's ska-pop. Still though overall the it's decent and Bill Murray steals the film.

Not quite as funny as I remember. But despite the grossout lowbrow humor, excessive montages, and over reliance on the '90s ska revival, it's all worth it just see Bill Murray and his glorious combover.

probably my favorite Farrelly Brothers' film next to Dumb & Dumber. Bill Murray is amazing. consistently hilarious.

i love this movie. i hadn't seen it in years and it is just as funny as i remember it. bill murray is spot on in every scene. sure, some of the jokes are a bit low brow and cheesy. i think the solid parts outweigh the weak parts though. the munson vs. mccracken sequence toward the end set to elo's showdown is epic.

The film strolls along at its own pace, but laughs the resonance I felt it had since I last saw this whenever that was. Bill Murrary is still incredible though and he keeps the film elevated near greatness whenever he is on the screen.
