A serious step down after the masterpiece that is the second movie. Full of pointless filler nonsense that doesn't really work or add to anything, let alone move the plot forward.
Yeah we get it pandas are fat and it's hilarious when they fall over. It's more than enough to have Po fulfil the funny fat guy quota. The panda town is like a collection of Kevin James', which is about as charming as that sounds.
The villain theme song is good, but Zimmer doesn't really have any room to flex his talent (alongside a disappointing lack of John Powell).
Speaking of, the villain is kind of weak with a feeble motivation that is way too similar to the first…
Po had two dads and he turned out fine!
The weakest one, but still pretty good :)
the cast for this is absolutely batshit crazy like i'm so confused and happy that bryan cranston is doing this shit post breaking bad
Big step down from the first two movies. Incredible, masterful art direction, but the writing itself feels like it changed hands and was taken over by people who didn't understand the characters. And yet, it's the same writers from the first two. I'll never get that.
When even the worst of the franchise is still really good, you know it’s a great franchise!
JESSE!!! I’VE TURNED MYSELF INTO A FAT PANDA AND I CANNOT STOP EATING DUMPLINGS! BUT, WE URGENTLY NEED TO COOK CRYSTAL METH, JESSE!!!
On the one hand, this is basically just a rehash of the first movie. On the other hand, my daughter actually applauded at the end and screamed “Happily ever after!” Who am I to argue with that?
I have a big nostalgia factor attached to this film, I vividly remember how much I enjoyed watching this. The humor worked perfectly for me, loved the animation, the villain was so cool, the voice cast was hilarious, the panda village rocked, the score was amazing and the ending was highly satisfying. Po is easily one of the best protagonist ever!
Now I’m ready for King Fu Panda 4. Seeing it tomorrow and I hope it’s good.
I’m going to be more active on X or Twitter whatever the hell you wanna call it.
