Should've come with the Nude Raider patch.

For quite a while, I considered the second Lara Croft movie something of a guilty pleasure, enjoying it fully knowing its as bad a piece of filmmaking as its predecessor. Yet I feel the shine has now thoroughly worn off and I can see Jan de Bont's sequel for what it actually is: a soulless sub-Indiana Jones with a lifeless main character, an even more moribund villain and simply poor writing and even poorer directing across the board. Admitting its not as bad as the first film either is faint praise.
Much like the first Tomb Raider movie however, The Cradle of Life has a fascinating historical MacGuffin at the centre of it, creating a pseudo-historical backstory involving Greek mythos,…

Oh, how I wish this was better.

Not as good as the first. It's okay for a dumb action film, but even then you'll come away feeling a bit disappointed.
Also, she punches a shark in the face, so yeah...

i didn't lara this movie either.

A definite step down from first movie but still has some good action. Jolie obviously mailed this one in and is out acted by Butler in every joint scene. The best thing about this movie is that it ensures there will not be a part 3.

Meh.

A disappointment after the enjoyable first film. For one thing, Lara really doesn't do much tomb raiding. As well as this the direction is patchy, the action scenes in particular never really achieve any flow or climaxes. It's all just....blah.

If you like the first one then you will appreciate and enjoy the second in the series. There are some good action scenes but you could see the ending and how the double cross was going to play out but still an enjoyable enough action film, worth a watch.

The achievement is that it's worse than the first

Computer game sequel... yet it's enjoyable action nonsense & better than the first. 5/10.
