The key requirement for a morality play about a couple flirting with temptation while in different cities is chemistry between its leads. There isn’t any. Worthington is grumpy and flat for the duration, and when Knightly rediscovers past lover Guillaume Canet, you wonder why she ever settled for less.

Unfortunately, I wasn't too impressed with this film. There was no chemistry between the lead characters. And the set up was a bit forced and I felt Knightly's performance was a bit flat.

Dažbrīd liekas, ka skatīties filmas par attiecībām ir mazohisma paveids. Visticamāk, tā arī ir.

I'll begin with a confession. This is not a fair review. Tivo told me that this was the Don McKellar end of the world film.
So I was understandably disappointed when I got this. However I am a patient man and this might have been an undiscovered gem, so I persevered.
I got a deathly dull, talky drama with characters i did not engage with and whose situation I could not care about.
I don't have an issue with Knightley, like some people do. I thought she was a fantastic Anna Karenina and can be a very capable actress when well directed. I found her cold in this, where warmth would be essential for the viewer to care about her.…

I put this film off as I hadn't heard good things, but I love an anti-romantic film because they know how to get me thinking about my own life.
Last Night was perfect for that, as it explores the temptations one can be faced with whilst in a relationship. As Sam Worthington's character says: "You can be happy and still be tempted." Last Night looks at the way the mind works when put in that situation from two different angles, from each half of a married couple. The chemistries between these characters work well but they're never strong enough to see the temptations fully, but the way it tells the story around these characters let's you make the decisions for…

I liked this film a lot, don't know why really.

The director made the film without banality and platitude. International cast gives a charm to typical history.
Adult film emotionally. -

Tylsäksi käynyt avioliitto saa himot hyrräämään kielletyn ruohon puolelle. Mies on duunimatkalla kauniin työkaverin kanssa, nainen bilettää kotona entisen ihastuksen kainalossa. Ja hupsista.

Even though I don’t like Keira Knightley. And Eva Mendes either… Plus I wanted to see what Sam Worthington can do when he’s not blue or whatever :) Guillaume Canet is real good, though.
A story about how far you can go with someone else when you’re married (I do believe it holds to any serious relationships). Can you resist the temptation. Do you want to. What is cheating.
It’s very interesting to see two kinds of POVs evolve, one is more sexual, the other is more about the emotions… And you don’t get any answers. Actually, I wish I had seen this with some people, it’d be worth discussing.
