Louis C.K.: Chewed Up
2008 Directed by Louis C.K., Shannon Hartman
Synopsis
Profane, vulgar and obscenely funny, Louis C.K. insists on telling the truth, whether you like it or not! Join the Emmy Award-winning stand-up comic and TV star (Lucky Louie) as he shares his thoughts on the stuff everyone thinks about -- male bodily fluids, the joys of being white, the difference between women and girls -- but never has the nerve to say. It's Louis C.K. at his risk-taking best: fearless, honest and totally outrageous! Nominated for the 2009 Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Special

"You can judge how bad a person you are by how soon you masturbated after September 11."
Louis CK, you fucking genius. This guy is a legend.

Louis C.K. always brings the funny, but this was fucking hilarious. I think what makes him one of the best comedians working today is the fact his jokes are so based in reality. I can relate to this fucking guy and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

I'm giving the first couple of shows I saw from Louis CK another shot because although I really liked them, I didn't seem to like them as much as most others did.
This rewatch of Chewed Up didn't really change my mind a huge amount. It was very funny indeed in many ways and in particular his opinions on being a parent to girls are absolutely spot on. But I still didn't really warm to its coarseness at times - I don't mind it at all, normally, but here, at times, it just felt gratuitous and unnecessary.
I still very much enjoyed this, though, and I'm looking forward to seeing how he plays to a British audience later this year.

Falling apart with skill. Buster Keaton for the new millenium.

No beer this time. Drinking home-made banana pineapple wine. :)

Never has a man made the topics of desperate Cinnabon-eating and killing baby dears with STDs so damned funny. An hour of fearless and original comedy.

Pretty solid Stand-Up though not as funny as "Hilarious" (2010).

An uproariously funny stand-up special, coming full-circle in the vein of social commentary, life obscurities, brutal honesty, and self-depreciation in one of the funniest specials I've seen in years.

The second stand up by Louis that I have seen, and while it wasn't as good as the first one, it still had me laughing a lot. I'm noticing a pattern of an insight on family life and blowjob jokes.

Hilarious... awesome... awesome...
I had to stop play back a number of times to give myself time to recover from my laughter before I literally busted my gut. If I actually saw him live and couldn't pause the show I'd probably end up exploding!!
