A Norwegian horror film, the first I've ever seen, and I loved it.
The kills were awesome, gory, and violent.
It was basically like any other horror film taken place in the woods, but this was more of a Cat and Mouse type of horror.
Really well done!

This has got to be one of the most rudimentary plotted and primitively accomplished horror movies of the (still relatively young) new Millennium, but personally I appreciated it a lot more than the vast majority of hi-tech computerized and wannabe trendy & intellectual flicks nowadays. And yes, I do realize I sound like an embittered old man! "Manhunt" is a prototypic so-called backwoods survival thriller and, moreover, a straightforwardly obvious ode to the pioneer and granddaddy of ALL backwoods survival thrillers "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". The resembling plot is the most apparent tribute, of course, but director/co-writer Patrik Syversen expresses his respect and admirations for Tobe Hooper's horror landmark through a handful of minor details in particular, like for example the…

Short and sweet, Really enjoyable backwoods hillbilly horror.

An excellent Norwegian horror film, I really felt the tension and terror and some of the kills were really cool. There was also a nice little sub story of the main girl and her boyfriend and I was very happy with the way that story played out.
This is a really good backwoods horror film and I would recommend if you enjoy the horror genre that you give this a go.

Recommended by Richard Trondsen. Four friends are heading into the woods for a bit of hiking. They get ambushed and wake up tied together. Then a hunting horn sounds and they quickly work out they are the prey. Exciting stuff!

Warning: If you go hiking with friends in the woods you'll end up in a generic Norwegian horror movie.

This is a by the numbers slasher/backwoods film with the only thing of note being the fact it comes from Norway. As direct-to-DVD horror films go I’ve watched a lot worse, it has a reasonably authentic 1970s aesthetic, it is mercifully short and it delivers on the gore but the question is why watch something as derivative as this when you can just rewatch the original movies that is heavily borrows from. I don’t have a problem with film-makers paying homage to earlier films but it seems rather pointless if they aren’t going to offer a new spin on proceedings. Manhunt is so faithful to those that came before it that it can only ever come up short. Ignoring the lack of originality or surprises, Manhunt does have some okay performances and is well paced but that is hardly reason enough to recommend it.

A Norwegian horror with the start of most slasher flick, you know the drill a group of teenagers out on a roadtrip piss of the locals and then have vehicle related trouble.
This film I would say combines the likes of Wrong Turn, Wolf Creek, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The death scenes are also very graphic and the second one I must say even made me wince.
The cast too surprised me as I actually like the characters and I especially warmed to Camillia (played by Henriette Bruusgard), Tho I do get disappointed that slasher horrors tend to have the same sort of set up. This film went by reasonably quickly and I did quite enjoy it. If you like gore and teenagers running about this is definitely for you.
