It was better than I was expecting, put it that way. The voice acting was good, the story was perhaps not quite as good as Pixar's effort in the superhero genre with The Incredibles, and the film was genuinely funny at times. It has some great dialogue in it which is a mix of kids and adult stuff.

A terrific scope and sense of scale and physics in the environments and action scenes, with solid squash and stretch style animation and character design. The script held some unexpected surprises, though few genuine laughs, given the comedic talent of the voice cast. Music choices were an embarrassment.

I usually hate Will Ferrell SO MUCH but for some reason i don't want to rip him apart in this movie. Maybe it's because I can't see his face.
The jokes are hilarious and plentiful the entire way through. The music is awesome. The story is great. It's just... great.
I'd recommend to anyone who hasn't seen it already. ASAP!

It's official. I love this movie. How did I not notice the ADORABLE factor before?

One of the best animated films I have ever seen, but sadly quite underrated.

Not the best animated film you'll see but still very funny. Dreamworks are doing a good job of making good animated films that do challenge Pixar, but they aren't quite there yet. Something that helps them is they pull in these all star casts and Will Ferrell is hilarious once again. But I have to say I was disappointed by the lack of Brad Pitt considering the posters and trailers for the film suggested he was a main character. Some very clever marketing there from dreamworks. With a lot of action and 'Will Ferrell humour' it is another decent film from them. Unsurprisingly, with most of they films it ended on a big high note with a song and dance. They are putting the pressure on Pixar.

A kids' movie probably solely enjoyed by adults.

This would've been better if it wasn't for the character design. Not the designs as a whole, but THOSE EYES! DAMN THOSE SCARY SOUL-LESS DOLL EYES!

You know, just because the colors are pretty, and the 3D animation is so whiz bang exciting, your movie is still stupid without a good script. But throw more effects at me, what the hell... maybe I won't notice.
