One of the lesser known genres in Korean cinema is Sci-fi, and I will admit that they have a long way to go in making great Sci-fi productions, but nevertheless, Natural City is an intriguing and captivating film that really excels in the atmosphere and environment it puts you in. It feels lived-in and grimy, with a cyberpunk grungy feel - something that works really well as a template for any potential Sci-fi. I particularly loved the attention to detail in the slums and ghetto areas.
Set in the year 2080, the plot focuses on highly advanced cyborgs which only have a life expectancy of 3 years. The main protagonist, R, is torn between his love for this dying cyborg…

A film described as a "Korean Blade Runner" is always going to pique my interest/risk my wrath. While this is not in the same league as Scott's masterpiece it does have some interesting ideas and looks great, worth a look if you're into sci fi.

Cool and stylish futuristic Korean film about clones on the run from the law. Borrows some elements from Blade Runner but still stands very well on its own.

This film is extremey inspired by Blade Runner. But it's a totally different kind of film, and not nearly as good. I found the story a bit confusing.
