What the hell?! Is this meant to be 'The Karate Kid' for the new century? Screw this, the crane technique would have whupped all of their asses in one go. Also, sorry Amber Heard, you are no Elizabeth Shue. And what the hell?! The guy from 'Deep Rising' is the new Mr. Miyagi! Oh for fuck's sake. What's next, 'High School Musical: Fight Club'? Also, who takes a punch in the face without a single blemish?
Sigh, OK, lets see how the Tiger Crane Kung Fu Kid does. What? No, that's called 'The Karate Kid' too? What the?! They can't even think up any new titles now?! Oh, I give up.

Pretty cool movie. Give us a good message, there are struggles that we must fight and we can not escape.

A clichéd plot, dull fight scenes and characters with less depth that a kids paddling pool. I watched this as director Jeff Wadlow is directing Kick-Ass 2. It doesn't bode well.

Never Back Down -22% on Rotten Tomatoes
Never Back Down is basically like a Mixed Martial Arts version of The Karate Kid. Teenager moves to a new town with his single mom (and younger sibling) and gets the crap kicked out of him by a bunch of Martial Arts punks. He then is taken under the wing of an old and wise MMA expert and learns to fight. He eventually challenges the punks in an MMA tourney and I'm sure you know how this story goes.
I really do enjoy this film. It isn't original by any means but I love MMA and this is one of the rare films that focuses on it and is to me was a lot of fun. Way underrated in my book!

For some odd reason I keep getting drawn back to this movie. I rememeber the first time I watched it when I was about 14, and I was spending the summer with my father. I had a lot of free time on my hands because he was always at work. And because I could never sleep that whole summer after watching Paranormal Activity (one thing you'll notice is that I NEVER do scary movies they're just not for me at all). But I only caught the end of the movie the first time and I thought it was pretty good (my taste in movies wasn't as refined as it is now). So I decided I wanted to see it in…
