Never Cry Werewolf
2008 Directed by Brenton Spencer
Synopsis
When 16-year-old Loren and her family greet her hot new neighbor, Jared, a good-looking single guy with a motorcycle and an evil tempered dog, she senses something dangerous about him. Her suspicions are aroused further when locals begin disappearing one by one. As Loren becomes obsessed with her neighbor's behavior, convinced he's a werewolf, she is unaware that he is monitoring her just as closely as she's watching him. Loren reminds her neighbor of his young and deceased wife, Melissa, so he claims her as his territory, biting her friend Angie and capturing her brother. Loren enlists the help of local TV hunting show personality Redd Tucker and a delivery boy with a secret crush on her and the unlikely trio prepare for a full-moon showdown against an immortal creature with insatiable bloodlust. A SciFi Channel production, this is a nearly scene for scene remake of the classic Fright Night, only with a werewolf instead of a Vampire and a hunter instead of a horror show host.

Fright Night with a werewolf, and without a budget. It works but on a really limited level. The actors all seem way to young or too old to really play together, and Kevin Sorbo should never act circles around anyone yet he does in this. The effects are surprisingly good for a movie this size. Ramble over.

Bloody hell! What a rip off of Fright Night. Watchable, but not much more. Only bothered as it was on TV.

It's ok for what it is. It's nice to see puppetry preferred to cheap CGI, but the story was a little weak; a bit too predictable.
