Can somebody please explain to me how the Citizens on Patrol program is supposed to work? The name would lead one to believe it's a citizen's watch initiative, but if that's the case, why do they have to go to the police academy for a full-on training regime? We know it's not so your regular average Joe or Jane can help defend the city, because if that were the case they could just become police officers per the Mayor's initiative established in the first film.
Though it saddens me that Jones becomes an increasingly tertiary character, I'm glad to see that Zed has come into his own as a character. Zed has quite the arc over his three films, and…

NO !
I was going to review this film but on consideration all you need to know is above.
No! I don't know why I started watching.
No! I can't tell you why I continued.
Yes I understand Steve Guttenberg needs to pay the bills so kept grinding out another one each time he was skint, but Sharon Stone you should be ashamed of yourself.
It gets a half star because I am reliably informed there are worse in the series and I need to leave myself somewhere to go with the ratings.

This one just seemed lacking...and the last Guttenberg one too. The hot air balloon finale was stupid. But look for Sharon Stone and David Spade in early roles.

Still amusing but the writing was on the wall for the comedy cops in this third sequel.

Still has some funny moments like the other films butby this point it has gotten stale.

I enjoyed the Police Academy films as a kid so it's a like for me.

Why am I doing this to myself?

Came here for other reasons, was amused to see how Sharon Stone’s and David Spade’s careers took off after this, even though they aren’t particularly more talented than anyone else in this movie.
