Painfully bad fourth Police Story film, apparently made for those Jackie Chan fans who think he's at his best when he's driving around or moaning that he's cold. There's one good chase around an apartment block and a busy fight scene in a warehouse, but the novelty action scenes (Jackie on a snowboard! Jackie on stilts! Jackie in shark-infested waters!) are pathetic, the story is muddled and boring, and the comedy is almost entirely unfunny. Cute koala, though.

Decent Jackie Chan flick but nothing special here. It seems to rely more on Hollywood-esque stunts at times than pure Jackie-fighting, although there is also a good chunk of that.
A generally confusing story, no clear villains, and no interesting characters take this one down a notch from the better Jackie flicks.

Sort of disappointing. Has a couple memorable fight scenes, but it's pretty weak. However, anytime you give Jackie a ladder in a fight scene, amazing things happen. Proven again by this film.

Film 70 of "The December Project" 2012
84 minutesI watched the U.S. cut of this which was 23 minutes shorter than the Hong Kong cut, but in the end it's all the same....this movie is fucking awesome. I think this is the first "Police Story" film that I've seen, and I hope to see the rest after this.
The action in this is incredibly fun, it has a very Bond-esque feel to it with an awesome ski chase scene and some great underwater fight scenes. But probably my favorite fight scene is the ladder fight, he is amazing with his prop management in fights, he just makes anything in the radius of his body into a creative weapon. The…

Story is shit, dialogue is shit, acting is shit. But hey, who watches a Jackie Chan movie for those elements anyway? The question is, how good is the fight choreography, and how good are the stunts? Aside from an AMAZING ladder fighting scene, there's not that much to marvel at here.

Saw this in the theater. My first Jackie Chan experience. I thought it was great. I laughed a lot. Great stunts and sense of humor.

In the fourth installment of the Police Story franchise, Jackie Chan goes Bond-ish. Jackie in cold Ukraine is somewhat entertaining, while the rest isn't very worthwhile. Some nice technical fight scenes and some nice stunts (as you've come to expect from Jackie Chan), but far from the class previous seen in the franchise. It doesn't help that this is the first of them without Maggie Chueng, and even Michelle Yeoh isn't back again.

dug the ice water scene. :o
the movie wasn't really that thrilling. well, maybe two or three of the action scenes, but that's it.
