So Japanese anime is not my thing. I'm probably offending someone because I'm pretty sure this isn't anime but you get my point. I've heard really good things about this and it doesn't disappoint. The huge scope of the story and the never ending characters and relationships is impressive. And it takes advantage of the beautiful animation. I think this is what James Cameron was going for with Avatar but without the imagination, interesting characters and surprises. So I guess I have to keep watching Miyazaki.

After watching the underwhelming series Twelve Kingdoms, I foolishly associated computerized anime to be fairly bland and lame. Boy, was I wrong.
While some people label it as bullshit, to me, Mononoke is very insightful and profound. Its seemingly unlimited themes contribute greatly to its complex plot, and give meaning and reason for the mufti-faceted characters.
The art is also beautiful. The vivid colors and the rich textures make the emotional journey that accompanies this magnificent story so much more worthwhile. In addition, the animation seems to reinforce many of the symbols and themes that are suggested in the plot.
As this is my first Miyazaki film, I'm cumming. If the rest of his films are as excellent as Mononoke was, I'll be a die hard fan in no time.

This film is a master piece. If I knew where my dick is I would be cuming a river right now. The story is brilliant, with so many intertwining themes, and filled with memorable characters and creatures.
The art is an orgasm for the eyes, the vivid colour palette, one minute your looking at serene shots of magical forests with beautiful trees and the next blowing out your eyes and ears with cannon fire and demon boars.
This film will leave you wet with excitement, probably my favourite Hayao Miyazaki film I have seen, I can't believe I have only just watched it. Miyazaki I respect you so much.
P.S
I'M GOING TO REVIEW EVERY FILM WITH INSITE OF HOW IT MADE MY DICK FEEL, I THINK HE IS A GOOD MOVIE CRITIC.

Miyazaki is a genius.

Characters are quite well developed; ending felt a bit rushed and I'd like to have discovered more about them.. Some really cool bits like the porters in the forest though!

a little weaker than his other movies

One of Miyazaki's most talked about works (at least in my circle). Finally I was able to enjoy this dark animation that has been praised for quite some time.
There is no doubt that the animation is astounding. The composition of 2D and 3D animation as well as the visually engaging imagery (both pleasant and horrifying) make for a compelling and intriguing film. The english dub, notoriously known for not hindering Miazaki films, also provides a plethora of talented voices from Billy Crudup, Clair Danes and Keith David.
That being said, i found myself being thrown off by several elements in the story. The strange mystical aspect of the film is treated with a normalcy that may be common amongst…

My favourite Miyazaki movie by far. This is one of the most magical and gorgeous animated films made in the last decade and as such, should be required viewing for children of all ages.

Enjoyable enough film but I was not that gripped by it, I seemed to expect more from it, I think I have spent too long expecting more from than Ghibli than is physically possible, I have more to watch and will continue to give it a chance but this missed the mark for me.
