One of those films where your in on the deal and you dig it, or you out on the deal and you don't dig it. Does being out on the deal make you a square.........possibly.

Dick Tracy on crystal meth.

A film you wish you watched for the first time when plastered, this is one of the more balls to the wall films made in the last few years with Lexi Alexander amping up the violence and the cinematography given a Euro-feeling neon drenched look which screams what "feels" like a comic book in the broadest sense of the term.
Ray Stevenson and Julie Benz make little real impression but this is a film about cheese and Dominic West, Colin Salmon and Wayne Knight bring the fromage in a huge way. Very very enjoyable.

This review reportedly contains spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Cafre, sucia, bruta, apabullante... Tal vez me hubiese gustado un protagonista más de una pieza (aún más, quiero decir), pero lo digo con la boca pequeña, no está el horno como para hacerle ascos a tan fantástica y saludable macarrada.

This was poorly written. Some of the action was fun but it was to few scenes of action to make the whole movie enjoyable. The characters aren't that good, which is why action scenes and other stuff are more necessary to elevate the enjoyment of a film that has poor characters. I was just bored. I wanted to like it but it's not good. The acting wasn't bad. Not worth a watch.

In 2008 this seemed like a bloody breath of fresh air. I think some other movies have come along and dethroned it, but it'll always have Dominic West at his hammiest, and The Punisher shooting a parkour guy with a rocket launcher.

It is a shame this was a box office bomb, although given how out there it is, we probably shouldn't be surprised. It's simply a blast to watch as it's so wacky and outrageous and over the top, I can't help but dig it. The film is certainly bold in presenting scenes shaded in various colors, for sure, but it also brings the action and there are some great bits.

I can't quite decide if Dominic West's performance is gloriously over the top or just plain awful.

Ray Stevenson plays a perfect Punisher. He is a ruthless, deadly killer, but with a shred of dignity as he keeps a strict code for himself. It kind or reminds me of the TV show "Dexter" which, coincidentally, is the first place had ever seen Stevenson act. He was great on that show, and was great here. Unfortunately, the rest of the actors were pretty terrible. The kid who follows the evil dudes around, the dude with dreadlocks, the little girl, Punisher's 'side-kick' guy, the 'Punisher Squad' cop, all of them were really bad. Even for an over-the-top comic book adaptation, the supporting actors were so bad it was distracting. I did like Jigsaw and Looney Bin Jim. There were…
