Did I miss something?
This plays out like a mediocre TV Movie, and while I appreciate the fact that it's an adaptation of the second book in the series it still doesn't alter the fact that it's pretty fucking boring! The camera work is utterly abysmal and the acting is borderline criminal. The score sucks monkey scrotum and it looks like it was edited by mentally defective pre school'ers.
I like the fact that it doesn't try and replicate the original but christ on a bicycle it's boring. I'm all for a sequel grabbing a tangent by the balls and running with a kooky idea (Ringu 0 is a perfect example of that), but this just didn't strike a chord…

The orginal sequal to the Ringu movie is based more on the sequal novel Sprial then Ringu 2 was and as such sadly wasn't liked as much by people expecting another stright horror movie. It's a shame as it's an enjoyable film and defently worth watching if like me you've read the novels.
