I have seen this before but it was probably 15 years ago so this was essentially a first watch. Arnie is laughably bad in this and the first 70 minutes are pretty terrible. Luckily the last half hour is really awesome and almost redeems the film.

I always wrote Raw Deal off as one of Arnie's weaker 80s movies, which it is, so I never felt the urge to rewatch it. I'm actually glad I got the chance to revisit the film. It really isn't Ahnolt's best acting performance. He deadpans EVERYTHING. There isn't a hint of emotion from him throughout the entire film. They run a little Casablanca tribute near the end and Arnie seems oblivious to what he's even doing there. He's just reciting lines. Sometimes that's fine. Like when he's a robot from the future or a barbarian. But not when he's an undercover FBI agent who is supposed to be American.
The lack of bad guys also hurts Raw Deal. The best…

This is not a good film.

You should not drink and bake, or make Raw Deal 2

This is pretty piss poor. It's like they made shit version of Infernal Affairs before waiting almost 20 years and making it properly.
Worst Arnie acting ever. -
"You should not drink and bake" + Arnie = fantastic. I bet the script writers all had a good giggle as they passed Arnie the line "He molested, murdered and mutilated her." for fans of 80's Arnie this is a great bit of fun. For those who aren't... Why the hell not!?

Wildly unbelievable, even for an 80's action flick. And even worse, it's boring.
One star for the awesome finale, which almost redeems the film.

Never seen this before despite being a huge Arnie fan; it's dated and the plot is a total mess but it's fantastic all the same.
It's all about Arnie, obviously he can't act a dime but his delivery of the lines is hilarious. So many highlights.

Solid Arnold actioner that gets overlooked in favor of high profile stuff like Terminator and Conan and such.

This movie is pretty awesome. Props to John Irwin, who would make the also quite entertaining NEXT OF KIN with Patrick Swayze shortly after this.

A very dated action flick. I forgot how bad Arnold was as a young actor. He still brings the physical presence in spades but they obviously kept his speaking parts to a minimum. Harrold was very good – wonder what happened to her.
