A very touching and emotional drama about two men who love each other but are both married so they must keep their passion a secret in Nebraska in the 1870s. They are also black.

First off I have to admit that I have never seen a single episode of Reno 911! before or after seeing this movie so I'm able to judge it by exactly what it is, a movie. With all the police around are stuck in a national police convention thanks to a terrorist attack it is up to the motley crew of police officers in town from Reno to now step up and protect Miami while things get sorted out.
As I said I had never seen an episode of Reno 911! before this movie but it is pretty obvious that this movie is based on a TV show. That said though it has a good groove to it and the…

I want to start off by saying that this and the show are criminally underrated comedy gold.
It seems like after this hit theaters, there was a small interest in it and then it died off. Hell, i forgot it existed. The set up for the story is great if you are already familiar with the characters. The cop convention was a great idea consodering we dont always get to see these bumbling cops mixed in with real cops. I was always a fan of the show's dry raunchy sense of humor, and it made the leap to the big screen very well. Especially since it could utilize the disgusting glory that comes with an R rating.
The whole movie is worth a rewatch just for the hand grenade, dead whale, and alligator attack scenes. Classic.

Oddly enough, this movie actually made me a fan of the series. Prior to this film, I had never been interested in a Cops spoof and seeing this made me regret it. Watching it again (after finally visiting the entire show) made for a way funnier experience.
The numerous celebrity cameos and a few characters from the show make this movie great, even though it has some flaws.

Essentially a longer and raunchier episode of the TV show, but when you like a show as much as I like Reno 911!, that's a pretty enjoyable viewing experience. As a movie, it certainly never stops being funny, and there are some absolutely hilarious bits (the biggest highlight undoubtedly being the Rock's cameo). A fun movie regardless, but fans of the show will probably get more out of it.

I find the jokes in this movie absolutely hilarious. As far as storyline is concerned, it's terrible but I found myself laughing hysterically on numerous occasions. And that is what comedies are essentially supposed to do aren't they?

What can I say...it was silly but I laughed a lot.

I caught the end of this on Sky a few years back and it seemed like a bit of a laugh. So when I went into my big-ass DVD purchase session this was one of the bargain bin buys. I have 41 such movies sitting on a shelf now. All unseen. So I asked my wife to pick a number between 1-41. This was #40.
I get the feeling my initial love for the movie came from tits. There are tits in this movie. They're big. My secondary love coming from Robert Ben Garant's officer Travis Junior. Funniest character in the movie by some distance. I also dug the numerous cameos. The best of which was The Rock. Turning up…

It was exactly like the show. It was dumb but I really loved all of the Patton Oswald and Paul Rudd parts.

Cringeworthy first 10 minutes and it didn't look like it was going to change.
