I could spent my life watching this movie!

Consider this a diversion from my current Resident Evil film festival. Looks like a video game cut-scene--uncanny valley as fuck--and has about as much depth as one too. The airy melodrama, J-rock action score, and phallic monsters hold some fleeting appeal, but really this is so forgettable. If you were playing an actual Resident Evil video game, you'd be impatiently tapping "X" through the entire thing.

3 estrellas.

Tries and fails to capture the fun of the video games in movie form. Too much going on, too many cliches, and some of the worst dialog I have had the displeasure of hearing.
There are some fun zombie moments in the beginning of this but then it veers into the over the top sci-fi territory and looses you. This is good for wasting time but not much more.

I can't with any good conscience call this a good movie, but it is what it is - and what it is happens to be *awesome*. Basically a feature-length video game cutscene, Degeneration is pure, stupid B-movie action topped off with some gloriously hammy voice acting. You won't give a quarter of a shit about any of the characters in the movie if you haven't played the Resident Evil games, but this one makes no effort to pretend it's anything other than a "fans-only" effort through and through. And, as somebody who's played through Resident Evil 4 more times than he would care to admit, I can safely say that it satisfies its target audience.

Well animated, the voice acting is pretty good, the climax is a bit silly. overall awesome

Finally a decent Resident Evil movie! One that doesn't mess the whole franchise up and gives us main characters from the games.

Love it!

Bit of a strange one. It felt like watching someone play a video game. The animation was nice but when you get down to the nitty-gritty it is just a bunch of people shooting zombies.
