Just when I think I remember how good this film is I re-watch it and I then realize how truly remarkable this film is!!! WOW!!!

If we need an origin story for the Planet of the Apes "series," or proof that Andy Serkis' motion-capture work is Oscar-worthy, or another serviceable and typical sci-fi take on the hubris of humanity, then this movie is perfect. It hits all its marks. Nothing more (good or bad) to say about this move. It exists, I watched it, it's good, I've moved on.

Forgot how much I enjoyed this. The original Planet of the Apes is one of my all time favorites and while this isn't as great as that, it is definitely worthy of being part of the Planet of the Apes legacy.

This was surprisingly good, I really expected nothing good out of this, I have almost no recollection of the original and the Tim Burton one was a disaster, but this took a completely different approach, by making the core of it about emotion and character and it works very well, the evolution of Moses is remarkable and the movie has moment of genuine tension and emotion, the fight on the bridge works perfectly and the relationship between the scientist and…

Me ha encantado. No me ha aburrido en absoluto y la he disfrutado. La pega (leve) es que es exactamente todo lo que esperas desde el inicio al fin y con todas sus consecuencias. Y no hablo de saber por lógica lo que te espera por ser una precuela, hablo de conocer exactamente que vas a ver sólo con saber el argumento y, más detalladamente, viendo el trailer promocional.

i've never seen this before but apparently one of the teachers at my school had her hands superimposed on an ape playing piano or something. doesn't justify this movie tho
