Synopsis
One Family. Eight Wheels. No brakes.
Climbing aboard their mammoth recreational vehicle for a cross-country road trip to the Colorado Rockies, the McNeive family -- led by dysfunctional patriarch Bob -- prepares for the adventure of a lifetime. But spending two weeks together in one seriously small space has a way of cramping their style.

“Die Chaoscamper” ist eine recht berechenbare Komödie. Große Überraschungen sucht man vergebens. Leider sucht man auch nach gelungenen Witzen die meiste Zeit ohne Erfolg. Der Humor des Films ist doch recht flach und so habe ich mir die Frage gestellt, wieso Robin Williams sich für dieses Projekt entschieden hat. Gleiches gilt für den von mir sehr geschätzten Jeff Daniels (Dumm und Dümmer, Der Onkel vom Mars). Zwar passt es sehr gut in die Rolle des Camping liebenden Travis Gornicke, doch leidet seine Rolle, wie die der anderen Darsteller auch unter dem schlechten Humor des Films.
Bei dem Humor von “Die Chaoscamper” ist das Hauptproblem noch nicht einmal, dass man viele Witze vorauszuahnen kann. Da Problem ist einfach, dass der Film…

Robin Williams at his finest..in a family comedy.. A cute movie for the whole family.. I experience so many emotions.. wanting to go on my own RV trip at the start, changing my mind when the unclog the "fecal matter".. gross...but funny.. Kristin Chenoweth in a supporting role shows off a sexy, yet hillbilly vibe in playing great actor Jeff Daniels's wife Mary Jo.. How about Hunger Games actor Josh Hutcherson in a earlier role as son Carl? Funny movie you can watch with your kids!
