Sarah Millican: Chatterbox Live
Synopsis
Recorded in London earlier 2011, Chatterbox Live invites you to enter the wonderful world of Sarah Millican--where living alone drives your parents to put you on suicide watch; where a cup of tea in the bath is the epitome of luxury and where free family planning clinic condoms make perfect stocking fillers. Released for the first time on DVD, and ruder than on telly, Chatterbox Live showcases Sarah’s hilarious views on modern life, and positions her as a comedian at the very top of her game.

Sarah is a very funny comedian and in this DVD proves her humour is a bit darker than what we see on 8 Out of 10 Cats and other panel shows. This DVD is very womancentric but not to point where its is bordering on sexism unlike some other female comedians.
A brilliant watch and well worth a giggle. Also I love her little accent...that makes me chuckle before she even tells a joke.

So far, Sarah has two live DVD's out. One for Xmas 2011 (this) and one for Xmas 2012.
This is the superior one. Caught slightly before the TV overkill she's enjoyed/endured, Sarah's material here is darker, cruder and incredibly fresh, and yet despite the tone she has a knack of immediately winning the audience over, like hearing good filthy jokes from the rather cuddly cute person who sits three desks away from you on an office night out.
Speaking of the audience, it also has that usual debut stand up DVD trope of the camera constantly panning across to them, in many cases zooming in on just one person, to show you the material is going down well as if to say 'Look people are laughing, you should be too!' Sarah doesn't need that, you already are. An assured debut DVD.

I actually cried, and this is coming from someone who doesn't like stand-up comedy.
