Part of my Saw Marathon list.
This may well be the best of the franchise. The acting is pretty good, the traps are creative (and brutal), and the twist ending, for me, topped the first films ending. You will NOT see it coming. Shawnee Smith basically leads the film, and Tobin Bell does a pretty good job too. Now, I know Saw II didn't get a lot of love, but for me, it's a personal favourite. Oh God, now I have to watch Saw III...

The most important thing to do with a sequel is even if you can't make a better film than the first, it needs to at least be bigger. Do something new and possibly provide a new setting. If you can't raise the stakes you have to at least raise the scale and Saw II manages to do both. While Saw II doesn't improve on the first, you can at least say that the filmmakers at least tried to top itself and considering how rushed this was to make, they did a decent job.
Saw was a huge surprise hit and with a (rushed) sequel given a bigger budget, that made room for the film to have more creativity, more victims,…

Now this edition of Saw is actually based on true events. Though the names have been changed to protect the guilty.
It tells the tale of Marcus Bentley and Davina McCall the long suffering presenters of the Big Brother T.V show.
After years of being tormented by the vapid attention whores populating the Big Brother house they finally snapped. Using their extensive knowledge of the house, they rigged it with cunning traps and pumped it full of nerve gas.
Over the course of several days they broadcast video footage of old episodes and tested each contestant to breaking point. Until only Brian Dowling was left alive. But after beeing so emotionally drained by being locked in a safe for 2…

It's like your average season of Big Brother. 10 detestable cock knockers in a house who add nothing to the human race except excitement for their entertaining and impending demise.

Not as great as the 1st movie but still has plenty of gory moments to keep the gore hounds happy, Tobin Bell and Donnie Wahlberg are good value in there roles.

That fucking needle pit.

Más dinámica que la primera parte. Con más muertes. Menos sorpresa y originalidad.

Not a bad sequel. Suspenseful as a motherf*cker, and that ending... Yeah, baby!

This builds a strong premise from the first film, a good expansion.
