Film #39 Of The December Project.
Surprisingly good, light horror film from last year.
It has a pretty low production value/budget, but with a pretty simple premise it manages to keep at a steady pace pretty well. It's clear from the setup that there's going to be a big twist or reveal, so most of the film is spent wondering what that is going to be. Not exactly a barn burner but I really enjoyed this. Once everything starts coming together, it goes nuts. This is a great example of what you can accomplish with a small budget but a lot of creativity. A common criticism I've read is that the acting is poor and I can't say that I disagree, the lead actress in particular hopefully didn't quit her day job, but the atmosphere they manage to build in spite of that makes it worth watching. The acting never got so poor that I found it distracting or irritating. Definitely recommended.
