A couple of years back when I watched and reviewed several 'classic' 1970s British sexploitation movies I used to rate them in two distinctive ways - Film Rating and Sexploitation Film Rating - because it's almost impossible to rate this genre of film making using the same system one would rate a 'real' film, such as Citizen Kane say.
Film Rating: a half star
Sexploitation Film Rating: 2 stars
But you know what, I'd still rather watch this…
A glorious piece of shit
Fun nineties cliches
Infamous for the blooper reel on YouTube of Anna Nicole Smith drunk and high to the point of collapse, Skyscraper is a cheap piece of exploitation with two pointless soft core sex scenes shoved in to presumably boost sales.
A weak Die Hard rip off of a story doesn't cover up Anna struggling to remain upright. It would be funny if the little boy in the film wasn't her real life son who ten years later would die of an overdose shortly before his mother would follow him.
Skyscraper is basically Die Hard mixed with softcore porn (the amount of puns are endless). While that may sound like the greatest idea for a movie of all time, the execution is a bit lacking.
An awful Die Hard rip off that feels like a softcore porn that has most of the awfully bad sex scenes edited out. I'd say if it's 2AM and you come home drunk and this is on TV it's perfectly fine if you at least try to watch it, but you'll most likely rather pass out.
This movie is just bad. Awful even. And not in a good way.
Basically a DIE HARD rip off, but one where the acting is insanely awful from every actor.
The lead bad guy seems to be laughing at how bad this film is in every line he gives.
You see random hostages and other employees just show use randomly, like they couldn't pay them to be in early scenes.
I guess if you think Smith was hot, she shows…
Has Oscar written all over it.
In the middle of being hunted down by terrorists, Anna Nicole Smith has a flashback to this one time she fucked at a picnic.
It's the bottom of the barrel that's being scraped here, not the sky.
Skyscraper is Die Hard with Anna Nicole Smith in the Bruce Willis role. In an effort to differenciate the two movies, they made her a helicopter pilot. Normally this would make the plot highly unbelievable (she takes on a gang of terrorists). But by the time the plot kicks in, you will already have given up on any hope that this is anything more than soft…
Bad acting, bad plot, bad everything.
