Reviews of Sound of Noise 2012
-
Sound of Noise is one of the most original films I have seen out of the 2000's. The music used in this film is probably the best thing about it. It was really interesting seeing someone slap another man on the stomach using his body fat as a drum to play music. The music lover in me actually enjoyed all of the "songs" in this film especially "Doctor Doctor gimme gas in my ass" which had a sort of '80s…

Part of my 30 Films from Around the World in the month of May Challenge
Country #10 - Sweden
An entertaining comedy about a group of musicians who are set on upsetting the current state of music in the city they live in by performing four different concerts. Each concert is at a different location and they use different objects as their instruments. A tone deaf police men tries to hunt them down and other stuff happens. The first two concerts are by far my favorite part of the film. It was pretty funny but it didn't blow me away.

It gets dull towards the end, but the premise and the entire first half are outrageously great.

Excelente.

Great concept and lots of fun. It does grow tiresome by the end and there is no real drama, but the musical scenes are genius, energetic and a blast to watch. I can't not recommend it, even if only 50% of the film is actually good. Have a beer, crank the sound up and enjoy!

My dumb thoughts: So weird and so much fun. Movies about artists always cause distraction while I wonder about how they make enough money to pay rent, so I appreciated the details about squats, etc.

The World Is More Than Enough - 30 Countries In 30 Days Challenge (20 / 30) - Sweden
Before watching Sound Of Noise, I regarded musical terrorism to be perpetrated by those arseholes that drive around booming out Skrillex at about 10,000 decibels at all hours.
Why is it that when you hear really loud music booming out of a car that it's always really shit as well? It's never Such Great Heights by The Postal Service or Transmission by…

A statement over the greatness and magic of music, but also the every day modern way of life and how it influences our inner "musical" self.

From the directing team of Ola Simonsson and Johannes Stjärne Nilsson, the plot of “Sound of Noise” is far from complicated. Amadeus Warnebring (Bengt Nilsson) comes from a house built on music. Both his parents are musicians and his younger brother Oscar is a wunderkind composer. Unfortunately for Amadeus he is completely tone deaf. Now a police officer, Amadeus seeks to avoid music at all costs. Meanwhile, a collective of six drummers led by Sanna (Sanna Persson) and Magnus (Magnus…
