Eurovision kids sing, dance, scream and cry their widdle eyes out to win a hunk of plastic.

Why is this still the only feature documentary about a Eurovision competition?

Film #4 of 'A Film a Day for the Next Month (Or So)'

I'm a fan of all things Eurovision, but you certainly don't need to be in order to be swept away in the joy of this film. You'd basically need to be the Grinch to watch it and not be smiling and feeling uplifted. The stories of all the contestants are varied, sometimes will make you cry, and sometimes make you laugh, but all are very interesting and…

The quality of the documentary is a bit suspect, half of it is a really well-shot, thoughtful film about these kids and their lives and half seems almost like a half-cocked television documentary. I suspect that the director (this being his first feature) was struggling with his style while shooting the film…

Interesting documentary about competitors of Junior Eurovision. The kids open up and tell some great stories about their lives. This could have been 90 minutes of mocking attention seeking kids, but to the credit of the director, we are spared that.

This is well worth your time.
