Reviews of Source Code 2011

Although it's an interesting idea, it's very forgettable and predictable, I honestly forgot I had seen it a few hours after watching it.
Source Code is actually kind of funny how it thinks it's shocking you with the lame twists it's throwing out you. Why do thrillers these days insist on having key plot points based around characters we never see?
It's hard to believe the director of Moon made this film as it's very by-the-numbers and bland.

I think I judged this too harshly for improper science fiction, which is not something I should do, but I felt that the explanation provided in the movie focused on reading the memory of the victims last 8 minutes and let you explore them with filler from additional known data of the environment and assuming the brain captures much more information than we think. Helicopter pilot Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up on a commuter train in the body of another man just moments before the train is destroyed by a bomb. Duncan Jones is a fantastic Director. After the great success of his 2009 directorial debut Moon, I was hot on his trail and looking forward to his next film. Source Code has bigger ambition and is an extremely entertaining film, it's just not as Sci-Fi pure as Moon. Source Code is a complex, compelling and a great mystery.
