First time I've seen this since I saw it almost 34 years ago, when I was five years old. This is THE thing that got me hooked on special effects. Before this, I don't think I got, at a certain level, that people *made* this stuff. That there were models and bluescreen and stop motion animation and stage hands throwing stuff at Mark Hamill.
Of course, this is, in part, a shill for The Empire Strikes Back (or, since it came out months after the movie, perhaps an inspiration for countless Xmas wish lists), so there are plenty of clips and scenes from Empire.
