Star Wars Uncut: Director's Cut
Synopsis
Thousands of Fans Remake A Classic
In 2009, Casey Pugh asked thousands of Internet users to remake "Star Wars: A New Hope" into a fan film, 15 seconds at a time. Contributors were allowed to recreate scenes from Star Wars however they wanted. Within just a few months SWU grew into a wild success. The creativity that poured into the project was unimaginable.

I can't believe that something that should be a two minute goof on YouTube kept me highly entertained for most of its two-hour run time.
For those uninitiated, this is the the remake of Star Wars created by groups of fans, each of whom took on 15 seconds of the film. The styles and techniques are as varied as one would guess; from still drawings and highly accomplished animation, to well made parodies of other films and occasionally just some dudes wearing t-shirts who asked their dad to be Chewbacca at the last second.
Now those who haven't seen Star Wars dozens of times may not enjoy it as much as those of us who know every line and shot…

Note: I’d like to start off by saying that it’s extremely fitting that I’m writing this review on 4/20, considering that multiple times in my viewing, I wondered if this movie had actually made me high.
Have you ever wondered what would happen when you ask a vast array of Star Wars fans to recreate the very first film, fifteen seconds at a time, in any manner or style of their own choosing? Well, whether you have or haven’t, we finally have an end result in Star Wars Uncut: Director’s Cut. The idea’s conception had come into light back in 2009, yet this final product is much more engrossing than anyone could have ever imagined. What should have only worked…

I absolutely love Star Wars so when I came across this I knew I had to watch it. With that being said I though it was pretty awesome! This is probably the most creative thing I have ever seen! Knowing it was going to be different every 15 seconds is what kept me glued to the screen. Action figures, legos, paper, computer generated, and people this was just great.

I'm just so happy that this exists. Even if you don't particularly like Star Wars (I don't, sue me) you must watch this.

It's the kind of thing you begin watching with friends, with the intention of stopping after ten minutes when it becomes boring. Except it didn't and we ended up watching the whole damn film! Constantly surprising and hilarious.

Genius. I love the concept, I love the devotion and the end result is absolute magic from start to finish. Some of the recreations are incredible, particularly the animated segments, but even the most basic scenes overflow with humour and love for the source material. A must-see for anyone remotely fond of the original films and a testament to the creative possibilities of online community projects.

Definitely worth checking it out. You'll have action figures, sock puppets, film noir, and then something completely out of left field all in the space of a minute!

I get the feeling that if I were a bigger Star Wars fan I'd have enjoyed it more, but this is still pretty darn clever. Good job, good effort internet folks.

This is a great showcase for online communities, something that could never be done before the internet. It brings together people from different backgrounds but share passion for this franchise. Some of these parts were very good, but again they're just not good enough to watch a 2 hour movie. I was actually interested for the first 30 mins, I wrote down some of my favorite parts (hand puppet of C3, hooded cat, homer, Antimonitor and Superboy action figures, etc...) but I couldn't finish watching it. It was just too repetitive, so much that you could easily categorize them into animations, toys (lego/action figures/etc...), live acting (usually amateur/kids). Most of them are played straight, while some are played for laughs,…
