Even though there are so many movies just like Storm Warning it's rare to find some that are just brilliantly done, with suspense around every corner.
A couple decides to go fishing, but a storm is heading there way leading them to park there boat at the nearest shore. Only to find themselves in a terrible situation full of your very own "hillbilly" type people, hungry for some action, yes that type of action, and a cute little kangaroo.
A film that actually has character development and awesome kills, that won't seize to amaze you.
Clever film, highly enjoyable and pretty EXTREME ;)

A menacing slow boil before a gruesome final flourish for this DELIVERANCE-esque tale of human monsters in Victoria's coastal backblocks. A homecoming effort from the Aussie director of URBAN LEGEND, Jamie Blanks, this is enjoyable (if not necessarily groundbreaking) horror fare.

Great low budget Ozploitation horror. It's nothing original to be honest but it's obviously made by people with a love for the genre.
Some great tense moments and some genuinely squirm-inducing gore moments.
Worth a look. -
One of the most entertaining Aussie horror films I've seen so far. Atmospheric and fast-paced. A gory 82 minute thrill-ride!

Combine the premise of Deliverance with the setting of Wolf Creek, drain all the subtlety from both, and add a blood-hungry rottweiler, a baby kangaroo and some horse porn. Boil the verbal and psychological terrorisation to suitably Aussie levels, and you have yourself a brutally enjoyable take on the "beware the hillbillies" genre. Rob & Pia, a middle-class couple on a boating trip, somehow get lost in a never-ending storm, and are taken hostage in a farmhouse by a trio of the scummiest scumbags you'd ever hope to avoid. It's about the thousandth film to play this scenario out, but what takes Storm Warning up a notch is its final half hour, in which Pia turns out to be quite the expert in creating booby-traps, and despatches her captors in gloriously splattery fashion.
