This is honestly a 3 star movie but the last 15 minutes really kinda save the film, so i bumped it up. The best part is McLovin and the cops by far.

“I’ll be like the Iron Chef of pounding vag.”
A pretty spot on and hilarious take on the awkwardness of adolescence – the sexual yearning; figuring out what matters and what doesn’t in the absence of any useful information; the scary, but titillating mystery of everything that seems to be cool.
Superbad’s pairing of the frustrated Jonah Hill and the awkward Michael Cera is simply fantastic. Their quotable dialogue and blunt reasoning are probably this movie’s best assets, and some of my favourite moments were not those that advanced the plot forward, but just the peripherals: Cera delivering a scathing two-punch critique of modern videogames and ani-terrorism policies, while Hill tries on some clothes… or the parking lot debacle about…

Good stuff here funny throughout and a pretty good story for a comedy. Superbad ranks as one of my favorite comedies and it's the type of film I can pull out and watch multiple times because it's funny every time.

It's fun but I never found this OMGZZ HILARIIIIIIOUZZZLY FUNNEEEZ! - but this isn't a criticism of the film but more so on me. I never saw it on release and I think the constant quoting from everyone sapped 30% of the funnies away from me.

An accidental rewatch happened. My score for this hasn't changed, it's still pretty funny.

Easily one of my favorite comedies, one that will never get old.
Fogell, shut the fuck up. And take off that vest. You look like Aladdin.

After a particularly trying day I decided to pop Superbad on so I could just unwind and chill out. I haven't seen this film in a while (and was actually shocked that it's already five years old) and I must admit I had forgotten just how funny it is. At least, the first hour is really very funny indeed, but then the comedy kind of peters out and it all becomes very sentimental and leaves the laughs behind. Jonah Hill, Michael Cera and Christopher Mintz-Plasse all riff off each other well while Emma Stone is on hand to bring the sexy. To be entirely honest, I absolutely adore coming-of-age films so I was always going to enjoy revisiting this film.

Classic. I have to rewatch this at least once a year.
Yet, I'm still torn. Funniest American comedy of the past decade? This or 21 JUMP STREET. It's a tough call.

One of the more likeable comedies out there. Jonah Hill is off the charts funny.

I watched this in theaters alone because my girlfriend at the time was too young lol.
