Hugely underrated film. The critics loved it but somehow it never got the attention from the public it deserved. This film has a strong Coen Brothers feel to it. Strange humor, film noir setting with a dash of western. See it if you can.

Bit of a weird film about a cop from Copenhagen moving to a small town because of some problems. Not what I expected, but quite fun nevertheless. A dark comedy the Danes do so well!

Pleasantly off-kilter noir set in a small town in the dour, murky Denmark countryside where a corpse-filled bog seems to be the closest thing to a tourist attraction. Despite hitting some overly familiar notes - the movie is essentially a jokeless version of Hot Fuzz with a pinch of Blood Simple - its setting is so beautifully miserable and its tone so odd that it manages to muster up just enough charm to coast through the more predictable elements.

I would have liked this more if I'd seen it before Hot Fuzz.

A Danish cop accused of misconduct is reassigned to a small country town. In his new assignment he becomes suspicious when everything in this new place seems all too perfect. The more he digs, the more he finds out that beneath the surface all is not well. Great quirky film in the spirit of David Lynch & The Coen Brothers.

Esta comédia negra/ thriller psicológico tem muito que se lhe diga. É extremamente impressionante como consegue um filme te provocar tanta gargalhada e indecisão, mantendo-te preso ao que se passa no ecrã e abstrair-te do que se passa fora dele.
Inteligentemente escrito! -

If David Lynch directed Hot Fuzz, as a noir, with the Coens helping out on the script. But in Danish. Yeah.

[AVC B+, noir] This was a danish modern noir in the same sort of vein as Blood Simple and Red Rock West. For most of the movie I didn’t like that. All the characters were unlikable and it wasn’t working for me. But as the end neared, a bunch of twists or revelations occurred that made me interested in the plot even if I wasn’t interested in the characters.
