Incredibly boring with unflattering characters and attempts at comedy that had me eye rolling ever bit as much as I was checking my watch. No stakes, no story, no intrigue. Just a series of set pieces that, for the most part, linger on nothing of interest.
The character of Tin Tin himself is as bland as he appears. Wish I would've skipped this one.

I watched the trailer and was somewhat sceptical. I had this nagging suspicion that it would be sitting at the bottom of The Uncanny Valley, a la Polar Express.
Thankfully, my suspicions were entirely unfounded. The production of this film carefully captured the illustration style of the comic books and blended it most convincingly with that real-human feel. I think it was something to do with the rendering of the eyes, but it never felt uncanny to me.
I watched…

Great snakes! Blistering barnacles! Great Scotland Yard! Spielberg has made his best film since Saving Private Ryan! Technically brilliant, visually stunning, riotously funny, breath-takingly exciting and brain-teasingly clever to boot, it's family blockbuster entertainment of the highest order.
Andy Serkis is the star of the show, but Jamie Bell more than holds his own by keeping his accent in place for once. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost turn up for supporting parts Thomson and Thompson, sustaining their double-act credibility, even…

This is a movie of uncanny valleys made. Not just the one you’d expect – people and animals looking half-dead and quarter-robotic – but also plot, characterization, humour… Everything was a bit off. As a result, I never connected with The adventures of Tintin. I felt the movie just took off without me, with forced, unreal momentum not unlike its later crane fight scene. Perhaps knowing Tintin and his adventures (which I didn’t) was a prerequisite, but then I scrutinized…

Pure fun on every level. The Adventures of Tintin provides Spielberg the opportunity to showcase endless creativity, and you can tell he enjoys himself in doing so. The cast is superb, and the visuals are monumental. The staging of the action is finessed and immersive.
This isn't a weighty film, with deep or important musings on life. But neither can it be defined as silly or childish. It's a rare piece of cinema that takes you on a fast-paced, intriguing,…

I was never a fan of the TinTin comics. I always found them to beautifully drawn but rather pedestrian and safe. In that respect this is probably a perfect adaptation.
This film is very poorly paced. It starts off well enough but soon becomes a bunny hopping of action sequence and plot exposition, with the latter at points taking excruciatingly long. There is never any sense of real urgency, things just seem to happen while the narrative just appears to…

I am completely unaware of any other affiliations of the Tintin character, meaning this is the very first of anything (movie, tv show, comic strip, etc.) that I have seen in the story of Tintin and his adventures. However prior to watching this and from the trailer I alone I gathered he was a sort of boy wonder, solving mysteries long before Scooby Doo and the gang. So I was interested and especially to find out how it would be…

I loved this movie. I am such a Tintin fan. Since I was little I've read the original comics. I collected the entire collection with my dad and he used to read them as bedtime stories acting out the voices and actions. I have read them so many times and know the stories by heart. I have seen the animated movie versions in french and english. I can thoroughly say I'm a Tintin fan.
I was impressed with this movie.…

Wasn't sure what to expect but when you have Speilberg's name on the front you know your in for a hell of a good ride.
This should have really been made LIVE action and I think SS would have had a bigger hit on his hands.
The 3D works really well throughout and the sounds rocks my Sound system...overall the film is very good.
