Reviews of The Amazing Spider-Man 2012

Not so amazing. Generic villain and basic plot with no surprises. Does nothing the Raimi films didn't do.

Andrew Garfield is the weakest link in the acting; though his acting isn't actually bad (aside from his poor delivery on one-liners), he doesn't quite manage to come across as the high school loner that he's supposed to be depicting. Coupled with the odd-looking CGI for the Lizard, and the latter character's poorly-defined motivation, it hampers the film from being truly great. Nevertheless, it was a fun film and may lead to better films later on if improvements are made. Read full review.

This would have been more aptly named "The Amazing Douchebag."

Saw it with a few of my friends, and just as awesome.

I'll remind you what happened. Richard Parker said just about the same thing then that you are saying now. The clock is ticking, Dr. Connors.

This is the first time I've rewatched Amazing Spider-Man since seeing Life of Pi. I forgot that Irrfan Khan was in Amazing Spider-Man. I forgot that Peter Parker's father was named Richard. Every time Khan said "Richard Parker" I was looking for the tiger.

A gondok a második felével voltak.
I guess the degree to which you like this movie is proportional to how much you like Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. I find him fine but not exciting so I give this movie good/3 stars rating. I had the rating higher but it kinda bored me re-watching it and I do not see myself busting it out again anytime in the near future.
In the first trilogy, I liked Tobey Maguire but thought Kirsten Dunst was a bit meh…

This did NOT improve with a 2nd viewing.......
But it does have the occasional moment. Occasionally.
