Reviews of The Big Lebowski 1998

I saw this flick after a particularly freaky night at a Denver Rave and it was a soul hug squeezing all the strychnine out of my system. A lovely story about bunglers of all types. This movie is riddled with wonderful characters that wander on screen for a few minutes but will live in the pop culture pantheon of awesome for all time.
This film is a lexicon of pop culture. Someone says or doses something to make you uncomfortable?…

Film No.14 of Cinebro's June Challenge
I have finally seen this and of course I wasn't let down. This is an amazing flick. John Goodman is quite quickly becoming one of my favourite actors. There are so many quotable lines and the Coen Brother's comedic style is everywhere. John Turturro aka Barton Fink is unrecognisable and he plays such a funny cameo. I could rewatch this in a heartbeat and I think after a few more goes this will be in my top 10 most loved films.

DUDE The Big Lebowski is AWESOME! I loved everything about this film!
The characters are just great. The bowling trio, Walter Sobchak the crazy Vietnam veteran played by John Goodman, Donnie played by Steve Buscemi and "The Dude" excellently played by Jeff Bridges. DUDE The Dude is one of the best characters of all time! John Turturro always will remain in my memory as Jesus. He was hilarious!
It was so funny! I laughed so much!
Yeah, I just love when a film enters directly to my list of favorites! -
A film that gets better every time you view it, which should solidly place this film as one of the best ever made.

This is by far one of the best comedies ever made. The Coen Brothers have crafted one terrific film with The Big Lebowski. A terrific cast is assembled here, and the characters are eccentric and unforgettable. A true Cult classic in its own right, The Big Lebowski is a terrific film filled with laughs, bowling and White Russians. This is one of my favorite films. Some people say that Old School is better, but those people have the intelligence of…

I wouldn't say this is the Coens' best work, but this is one of their most rigorously constructed and just downright enjoyable. Gene Siskel once said a movie had great characters if you would be entertained by them eating lunch, and "Lebowski" has that in spades. The Dude and Walter are one of the great comic duos because they manifest two sides of the 60's experience, and how their generation was on fumes by 1991. Jeff Bridges as The Dude,…
